Kicking It

Kicking It

Review: This documentary takes place around the Homeless World Cup in soccer back in 2006. It might not be the best documentary I have seen technically, but the stories and the warmth in it is truly breathtaking at times. I really recommend it!

The Coed and the Zombie Stoner

The Coed and the Zombie Stoner

Review: This flick is about as intelligent as the title would let you believe. But easy entertainment, and tonight that was what I was looking for.

Punk in Africa

Punk in Africa

Review: A musically and historically interesting documentary about punk music in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. There is however something about the final product that feels a bit too unfinished somehow.

Trailer Park Boys: Live in Fucking Dublin

Trailer Park Boys: Live in Fucking Dublin

Review: I'm usually a huge fan of everything the Trailer Park Boys have done, but this live show from Dublin just bores me to be honest.

Godzilla

Godzilla

Review: This adaptation of the classic Godzilla flicks are way better than the one made back in 1998. The constant darkness in these films do bore me though.

More Than a Game

More Than a Game

Review: An interesting and warm documentary that follows LeBron James and his team mates in St. Vincent-St. Mary High School and their struggle to become national champions. A great story about basketball, family and friendship.

After Porn Ends

After Porn Ends

Review: A documentary looking about what has happened to some porn stars after their careers ended. Not too bad, but not that interesting either.

Jesus Camp

Jesus Camp

Review: If you enjoy really scary horror flicks, then you ought to like this one. The difference is that this is a documentary, and all the more scary for it.

Undefeated

Undefeated

Review: I'm not a big fan of American football. Hey, I don't even understand the rules or anything. But that does not matter when I watch this documentary. It's warm and human and is a real pleasure to watch.

Into the Abyss

Into the Abyss

Review: Into the Abyss is a documentary film written and directed by Werner Herzog about two men convicted of a triple homicide, where of one is sentenced to death. I have really enjoyed some of Herzog's other documentaries, but this one never really grabs me. Interesting subject though.

The Butler

The Butler

Review: Some really great acting saves this film that is inspired by the life of Eugene Allen. Allen was a butler at The White House between 1952-1986. Too many cliches in the end stops this from being a warm and beautiful film. Feel free to check it out though.

The Interrupters
