X-Men: Days of Future Past

X-Men: Days of Future Past

Review: It is always a pleasure to watch a new X-Men flick, and the latest one did not disappoint me. Perhaps not the best one in the series, but definitely worth watching if you enjoy good Marvel entertainment.

Hundraåringen som klev ut genom fönstret och försvann

Hundraåringen som klev ut genom fönstret och försvann

Review: The film Hundraåringen som klev ut genom fönstret och försvann is based on the novel with the same name. It's a cute story that in many ways remind you of Forrest Gump, but with out too much of the cheesiness. Some good acting also which makes it a feel-good film that is well worth checking out.

Kaze tachinu

Kaze tachinu

Review: There is always something truly beautiful about watching a film by Hayao Miyazaki. The craftmanship alone is always astounding. I am also usually a big fan of his sometimes strange, but always rewarding, stories. I have to say though that Kaze tachinu did disappoint me a bit. Not when it comes to the visuals, because they are as beautiful as always. But the story didn't really capture me. Nonetheless, it's definitely worth watching.

The Queen of Versailles

The Queen of Versailles

Review: The Queen of Versailles starts out feeling like a Wives of Beverly Hills kind of show, but ends up being an interesting story about a billionaire family and their financial struggles in the wake of the economic crisis. A quite bizarre tale it is.

We Are Legion: The Story of the Hacktivists

Review: Interesting documentary about the loose collective Anonymous. A bit too self-righteous at times, but still well worth watching.

Review: An interesting documentary dealing with user-service agreements on sites such as Google, Facebook, Twitter etc. A scary insight into just how little of our personal privacy still is in our own control. A must-see!

The War Room

The War Room

Review: The War Room is a 1993 American documentary film about Bill Clinton's campaign for President of the United States during the 1992 presidential election. It's an interesting watch, but I think I would have got more out of it if I had watched it earlier. Now, 21 years later, it doesn't feel as special as I'm sure it would have back then.

The Monuments Men

The Monuments Men

Review: I hadn't really expected anything else, but this film still felt a bit too pompous and Hollywoodesque to be truly entertaining. Ok film with some good actors, but nothing else.

Equilibrium

Equilibrium

Review: Futuristic sci-fi films placed in a dystopia is always interesting to check out. This film however wasn't that interesting.
