RoboCop

RoboCop

Review: This remake of the classic RoboCop film from 1987 isn't as bad as I would have expected. The point of it though is non-existent. Easy entertainment.

Hoop Dreams

Hoop Dreams

Review: I've heard many times through out the years that Hoop Dreams is a really good documentary about basketball, dreams, tears and hope. For some reason I've never got around to watching it until now. I'm glad though that I've finally seen it. Probably one of the best documentaries I've seen.

Återträffen

Återträffen

Review: Återträffen got some great reviews when it came out last year, and even won some prizes. Personally I think the flick was highly overrated. I left the film feeling the least sympathy for the main character of all the people involved, and that means the film was a miss.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Review: I can't say that I dug the first Captain America flick that much. Mostly because Captain America is a boring character compared to a lot of other superheroes. This one however, was better. Darker and, in my eyes, more entertaining.

The Grand Budapest Hotel

The Grand Budapest Hotel

Review: Wow! That's basically all I can say about this film. Wow! Wes Anderson has done it again, and it's such a beautiful film. The choice of actors, settings, story, dialogue. Everything. Without a doubt one of the best films that will come out this year.

The Selfish Giant

The Selfish Giant

Review: The Selfish Giant is not a bad film. I understand what they try to do with it. But it doesn't do anything for me Apart from the acting that is good, the story is highly predictable and, at least for me, uninteresting.

12 Years a Slave

12 Years a Slave

Review: I finally got around to watching this film. I've been wanting to see it since it first came out, but for some reason I haven't done so until today. The film was as good as I had expected with some great acting from most of the cast. I had expected to be more touched by it though. Nevertheless, a must-see.

Sparks

Sparks

Review: I do like films based on graphic novels, and as such Sparks is not half bad. The true downside to it is the acting though that really sucks to be quite honest. Decent flick though.

Blubberella

Blubberella

Review: Uwe Boll is not famous for making good films. On the contrary, he is famous for making bad ones. And Blubberella is really, really bad. But slightly funny.
